Living in small apartments has compelled me to tackle the challenge of limited space by designing and building functional furniture pieces. The first project on my list was a clothes rack that cleverly balanced concrete bricks with galvanised tubes, offering both storage and improved lighting compared to bulky wardrobes. Shortly after a galvanised grille I found on the street led me to fashion a durable low-maintenance wardrobe for coats and hats. Later another find inspired my two latest endeavors: A compact nightstand, comprised of just four pieces and two screws, and a lazy desk, which drapes over the sofa's armrest, allowing users to work comfortably. Despite its minimalistic design, this desk incorporates heavy-duty brackets to support a cantilevering top, strong enough to hold a laptop. These DIY furniture solutions have transformed my living spaces and reinforced my belief that creative ingenuity can truly optimize any constrained environment.
